After a long break I'm back, and as usual, tonight, I'm introducing you a fucking good pop punk band.
FUCK! who said that italian were just morons addict to football and techno songs?! Me. I admit it.

Until today I must have to say i had some prejugees concerning the potential of punk band coming from this country. But there are still good small band such as the Manges if you take the time to search a lil bit.

When I listend to this song the first time, I found this riff not much agressive. and what else... SHIT! This is simple but efficient. this is the kind of songs that makes me wonna go out on sunday night, and skate till the morning sun.

Since 93, they plays punk song directly inspired by the Ramones. Inside the logic of the king of punk bands (Ramones),  during live they just make not break during each song or shout 1-2-3-4 before starting.

Just FYI bad juju is an italian idiom wich means negative energy or bad Karma. their texts or most of time inspired  by cinematographic references on War and rock themes.

Ape fight - Sasscrotch

Hi everybody! It's a great day! cause im about to introduce some "kicking ball" band! Ape fight. 

A not well know band, but so fucking good. One of their song was used for a master piece of the 7th art's World: "Accepted!" (Irony)...  Maybe some of you remembered this movie, and I hope you are ashamed just like me now. 

The alchemy of this band is a simple mix of: 1-Ape  2-hot girls 3-fight  4-humour and MORE fight! Those guys are just good in any situation, with or without instrument they just "fight the fight!" and make people smile in the streets. As you will ear in this video, they play  easy efficent chords with fucking good self mockery lyrics. They just come back to one old original aim of music wich is "Fuck the world,  Ill make you smile with my Universe!"

Shaka ponk - Let's Bang

Tonight, i'm going to tell you a story. 

The story of a french band, established in Berlin in 2004. At their begining, with some 3d modelist help, they created a charachter name "GOZ", the first "Worldwide monkey singer". 

 
Indeed they used to play their song while this all "man-maid" monkey singer performed on a LCD screen systhem. They used this singer until it bugged for a live, and had to sing together.

Let's Bang is a pearl, this  song is just perectly build. It starts by an efficient drum rythmics, with the amazing voice duo of Samah and frah.

The result is a diamond. Complementary voices mixed with "tender thunder powerchords", and subtle music styles mixing . Just enjoy. 

Goons of doom - Beer monney

Party like fuck! This is what im thinking, when I ear this song every friday night,  before going out to hongdae. 

Simple chords and minimalist drum touch, sustain by a well build vocals. This surf rock band has been promoted by volcom entertainment record, created in 1995. 

Their best-known artists today include Pepper, Valient Thorr, Riverboat Gamblers, and the great Year Long Disaster.   

This Australian surfing punk rock band propose us a song simply build, but really efficient on the bass line and drum attack. If you add this this the fucking good voice of Ozzy wrong (stage name of professional surfer Ozzy Wright A.K.A Oscar Wright)  you get a "must have" song for your I-Pod.
  
To me, this song is not sick only for the fact it sounds good, but also  because the lyrics makes me smile every time i'm listening to it. It reminds me most of my parties in France, Thailland and Korea. 

Do not hesitate  to listen  to their other songs wich are like a medley of surfin' punk pearls!

Picture me dead blondie - Scandinavian Thunderstorm

Band created in Paris, estate 2008, is an original ambitious duo made of two guys originally from Clermont-Ferrand rock city, central France. Very interesting band, because of powerfull impresive crushing drums, and fuzzy fat dynamic bass. Into yells you find an awesome musicality, and an hardcore unniverse made of wood, mountain, girl and Scandinavia...! A maxi is available since last march, composed of two songs: "Scandinavian Thunderstorm and  Orientation North". Lafayette and the dirty fingers - Suck or lose

Did you ask for a fat stonner, soul funky band?

The new revelation of the french rock and roll scene, smply awesome. Just take the most charismatic voice you could find, and mix it with talented musicians. 

You get a vintage instrumental with huge pinches of soul. Is this a coincidence or not? But this band looks like a lot to a frenchie american 70' band, formed in Long Island NY, name "Lafayette afro band", with a quite comon history: both of these french bands met and formed in USA.

Even if their sound is a bit less psyché and funky than their predecessor, we could still link those two bands easily with the soul and funk influences.

They are actually recording a new album and we wish them to come back on stage ASAP!

The new Black lips album - Arabia Mountain release today!

 It's D day for the Black lips.

This garage rock formation, from  Atlanta, define themself as a "Flower punk" band. Their sound is near from the kinks at their begining: bad recordings, bad signing and tuning, but this is their style, and we can't afford that they have, despite all of this,  develop melodic qualities. This is a brut and vintage song remembering the "roots" and the essence of Garage rock. They have a terrible energy on the stage by oftenly  playing naked, peeing, spiting, or puking on people... 2005 the begining, "let it bloom", a real punch in rock n roll world. 2007: they have been declared:" the hardest working band at the South by Southwest festival" in Austin, Texas, after having played 12 times in 3 days. 2007: Pitchfork rank their album "good bad not evil", as one of the best album of the year. 2009: release of "200 million", a flashback to the roots of the band, with minimalist, black pop rock song. 

Today; release of  Arabia Mountain, first listening, this album is less clean and perfectly recorded, contrary to the others, thanks to Mark Ronson... producer of: Robbie Williams, Lily Allen, Amy winehouse, Christina Aguilera... whatever... We could think that they sold their souls for this album, but after a few listening I found back the "black lips" i used to listen, okay okay the sound is less gross, and vintage, but the spirit is still Alive with surprising garage melodies and terrible singing. Good listening!

The firecrackers - Garage Rock with a great "G"! Free EP "she Deamon"

 One of the rare french band able to play suitable rock n' roll, the Firecrackers started in 2005, and broke in 2009,  the members are playing into new formation with moreless succes now.

When you will listen to their song,it's quite easy to link their influence to the international garage broadcasts, with bands such as: The Ramones, Datsuns, Motorhead, Thin lizzy, or even Hellacopters. This EP, "she deamon", was record in 2 days , after a 6 month of existance, and released in Summer 2005.

In this EP, they played a groovy garage which smelt sweat and Dust, the quick riffs merge easily, with the juicy warm  solos, and with the wild filtered  voice. They did not hesitate to  drop down the wood directly in your face, 2 times more with the release of the albums:"Gotta love it" in 2006, and "Firecrackers" in 2008; until their split in 2009. 

This Ep is getting harder to find, but thanks to the generosity of the band, I managed to find a "free forgoten link", therefore you are able to download this EP for free, directly from this article. What else? Have a good trip into the garage universe!

Turbonegro - Hank Von Helvete new band, Doctor Midnight & The Mercy Cult - Album release today!

After the great adventure with the Band "Turbonegro", Hank Von Helvete releases today, a new album with his new band, under the name of: "I declare treason". Doctor midnight and the Mecrucry cult, were formed in 2009, with members of Marilyn Manson, Satyricon and Extol bands. It was said in the composition of the band, dark heavy metal will be their main style; and i would like to say... Motherfucker! this sound is a punch of wood in the face! Turbonegro... We love their "erection"!

Turbonegro - Apocalypse dudes:

Just for the neophyts Turbonegro is a Norwegian band, formed in the late 80', they will revolutionate the rock scene by playing such huge original ways; mixing: Rock, Heavy metal, and huge punk influences; they defined their style as "deathpunk". Except their ways of playing huge song, those guys were great perfomers in live, with costums created under influences of their history, and also movies such as for example the Great "Orange mecanic" from Stanley Kubric. Hank Von Helvete (singer) used to wear Clown makeup, and clown costumes, with his famous stick... Their lyrics are also full of selfmockery at the society, the people, and the mainstream industry of music, by using mainly of deviant lyrics based on sex: rendez vous with anus, rock against ass, don't say motherfucker motherfucker...

Yes! It's said! This album is simply the best I ever had experiment in my whole music life. Most of the songs are just pearl to me. This is also the first album where the print of "Euroboy", new guitarist, will gives the real Turbonegro's identity (present for ass cobrat, but he wasn't as awesome as in this album). Just add the amazing voice of hank Von Helvete, and the talents of Tomas Dahl (drums), Pål Pot Pamparius(guitar, keyboard), Happy-Tom (bass), and you can  easily listen to the cd like 3 or 4 time without break.

1st song, The age of pampirus: just awesome start - 2nd song, Self destruction bust: caviar - 3rd song, get it on: the song i might have listen the more in my itunes - 5th song, Don't say motherfucker motherfucker: just kick ass! - 6th song, rendez vous with anus: mythic - 7th song, Prince of the rodeo: The most amazing small guitar riff I ever eard! 9th song: Are you ready, dynamic song, it gives me the power to wake up every morning éé 10th song, Monkey on your back: Insane! 12th song, good head: big rock n' roll and punk influences, this is just cream. Add the other songs that are a bit less charismatic BUT not less good: Rock against ass, Back to dungaree high, humiliation street; and you obtain the best album they ever made, with powerfull riffs, terrifying solos, mad tapping,frenetic drums and magnetic voice. Nowadays no band reached the 7th sky as they managed to do, "Turbojugend" still waits for their come back on the European Rock broadcasts.

Mars red sky - Strong reflection

A taste of "powder".

The magic powder of the Mars red sky, is definately their combination of two styles: psychedelic and stoner rock. 

Their album  released last April on CD and digital platforms. Fuzzy and fat repetitive guitar riffs, flying mesmerizing voice, epic solo,  if you fall in their song, you might become strongly addicted.
